The control transformer is one of the most overlooked parts in a factory — and one of the most essential. In PLC cabinets, machine-tool control circuits and automated production lines, it takes the incoming 380V or 220V and drops it to the safe low voltage the control circuit runs on — usually 110V, 24V or 12V. Without it, you’d be feeding 380V straight into control wiring, which is exactly the kind of thing you don’t want a technician standing next to.
Overview
What This Series Does
Control transformers provide safe low voltage (110V / 24V / 12V) to PLC cabinets, relays and machine-tool control circuits.
JBK3 series 40VA-1500VA built to order for OEMs and automation integrators.

Guide
Control transformers are the quiet workhorses inside almost every control panel you have ever opened. They take the incoming line voltage – 220V, 380V, 415V, whatever your shop feeds – and step it down to the 24V, 36V or 110V that PLCs, relays, contactors and indicator lamps actually run on. If you build or service machinery, you know the pain of a cabinet where the control voltage is wrong or noisy. This page is about getting that part right the first time.
What we make
Our control transformer line is built around the JBK series, from 25VA up to 10KVA. Single-phase and three-phase, with B, F or H class insulation depending on how hot your environment runs. The core is cold-rolled silicon steel, the windings are copper, and each unit is dipped in varnish and baked – that keeps moisture and vibration from killing it years down the road.
- JBK single-phase – 25VA to 10KVA, the standard choice for PLC cabinets and machine tools.
- Three-phase control transformers – for panels feeding from 380V or 415V mains.
- Custom builds – special input/output voltage pairs, extra terminals, DIN-rail mounting or OEM branding.
Where they are used
You will find our control transformers inside CNC machines, injection molding machines, packaging lines, HVAC panels, elevator controllers and conveyor systems. In most of those cabinets the transformer runs continuously for years, which is exactly why we do not cut corners on the winding or the varnish. A failed control transformer shuts down a whole production line, and nobody wants that phone call.
How to spec one
Add up the VA ratings of everything the transformer will feed – PLC modules, relays, contactors, solenoid valves, lamps – then add 20 to 30% margin for inrush and future expansion. Contactors and solenoids are the big hitters; a contactor coil can draw 5 to 10 times its holding VA for the first few cycles. If the numbers feel tight, size up. A 100VA transformer costs a little more, but a panel that trips on start-up costs a lot more than that in downtime.
Buying direct, the practical part
We sell factory direct with an MOQ of 10 pieces, and standard models leave the factory in 15 to 25 days, FOB Ningbo or Shanghai. If you are an OEM integrating transformers into your machines, tell us your cabinet layout and we will recommend a mounting and terminal arrangement that keeps your wiring tidy. Every unit is load-tested before shipping, and we keep the batch test records on file.
Looking for a specific rating? Start with the TC-D500 control transformer or the TC-1000 unit, or send us your load list and we will size it for you.
What Is a Control Transformer?
A control transformer is a small industrial transformer built to feed control circuits — relays, contactors, PLC inputs, indicator lights — with a safe low voltage such as 110V, 24V or 12V. It isolates the control side from the mains and smooths out line disturbances.
How It Works
How Does It Work?
Mains voltage (380V or 220V) enters the primary winding. The secondary delivers the lower voltage your control components are rated for. Many of our units include shielding that keeps output stable even when motors and other heavy loads run on the same line, so control signals are not disturbed.
