Yes — it converts both ways automatically. That is the whole point of the dual-direction design.

What can I run with 1000W?
Most small to medium appliances: laptops, TVs up to about 65”, coffee machines, blenders, printers, small power tools. If it draws more than 1000W, size up to the 2000VA or 3000VA model.
