Certifications You Can Verify Before You Order
When you import transformers for resale, the deciding question is never only what the unit costs. It is whether the shipment clears customs, passes your buyer’s incoming inspection, and stays on the shelf without a safety complaint coming back to you. That is what documentation is for. Every compliance mark we hold is set out below with its certificate details, so you can check it yourself before you place an order.
A CE mark on a transformer is only as good as the directives behind it. Our ST, DT and TC series are covered by two separate CE Certificates of Conformity — one under the Low Voltage Directive and one under the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive. Both are reproduced below in full.
CE / LVD
CE Certificate of Conformity — LVD Directive 2014/35/EU
The Low Voltage Directive certificate covers the electrical safety of the transformer itself: insulation, temperature rise, dielectric strength and construction. It applies to our ST, DT and TC series from 100VA up to 10,000VA.

CE Certificate of Conformity — EMC Directive 2014/30/EU
The Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive certificate is the one buyers and customs officers ask about second, after safety. It confirms the transformer does not generate harmful electromagnetic interference and is not itself disturbed by it — emission and immunity. This matters if your units are installed next to PLCs, inverters, medical equipment or communication gear. It covers the same ST, DT and TC model range.

- Other series — variable transformers (variac), isolation transformers and custom ratings: built and tested on the same production line, but certification documents are model-specific. Send us the model and the destination market and we will confirm exactly what documentation we can supply before you commit to an order.

What This Means for Your Order
- Documents for customs and tenders. Tell us which market you are shipping to and we will include the certificate copies your customs broker or tender requires, together with the commercial invoice and packing list.
- Verifiable, not just a sticker. The directives, harmonised standards and covered models are published on this page, so your buyer can verify them independently against the certificates above.
- Two CE directives, not one. Many suppliers hold an LVD certificate and describe it simply as “CE certified”. We hold and publish the EMC certificate as well, because that is what an inspection body will ask for next.
- Batch consistency. The certificates are backed by our own routine testing — every unit gets a no-load and load test before it goes into a carton.
- OEM orders. From MOQ 10 pieces we can supply compliance documents matched to your own brand and paperwork.
FAQ
Questions Buyers Ask Us About Certificates
What is the difference between the LVD and the EMC certificate?
The LVD certificate (2014/35/EU) covers electrical safety — insulation, temperature rise and construction. The EMC certificate (2014/30/EU) covers electromagnetic compatibility — that the transformer neither emits harmful interference nor is disturbed by it. A transformer sold into the EU is normally expected to satisfy both, so we publish both.
Can I get copies of the certificates for my customs clearance?
Yes. Ask for them when you place the order and we will send high-resolution copies by email, or stamped copies if your customs authority requires them.
Do the certificates cover the exact model I am ordering?
Check the model list above. If your model is not on it, tell us the market you are supplying and we will confirm what documentation applies before you commit.
Do you also provide RoHS and ISO 9001 documents?
Yes. Tell us which document your buyer is asking for and we will send it with the quotation.
Can you build to a different standard?
We wind to your specification, including different voltages, ratings and enclosures. If your market or your customer calls for a particular standard, raise it at enquiry stage and we will confirm feasibility.
